Hang out with friends or sing the night away
TIME: TO BE ANNOUNCED
Presented through special arrangement with Plays for Young Audiences, playing August 28th, 29th, and 30th at 7:30pm each night, Groove Theatre is taking the following precautions to delight and entertain you while promoting safe and healthy practices for our performers and our audiences.
1.Audiences will directed to park in a circle surrounding the performance area. There are 20 parking spots available per night. Tickets are $10 per parking spot, plus $5 per adult audience member. Free admission to audiences 17 and under. Audiences must remain in vehicle throughout performance. The performance runs 60 minutes with no intermission.
2.Tickets must be purchased online in advance. We will not have the ability to take credit cards or cash in person in efforts to minimize contact between our staff and the audience and practice the best safety measures for all involved.
3.Car engines must be turned off, but batteries may be kept on for radio and air conditioning. Radio transmission will be used to broadcast music and dialogue from our sound system to your car radio. Simply tune into the radio station (we will provide this information when you arrive to park) and enjoy the show!
4.The story is told using only two actors. For their safety, puppetry has been included in the staging, as well as intentional distancing in blocking and movement. A commedia "mask style" has been included in the design and staging, as actors will play the characters of their masks-custom leather bandit masks over their eyes match with cloth face masks over their mouths to help keep the performers safe while also enhancing the overall design of the show.
5.Snacks and refreshments will be provided by Sailwinds Park, and all concession proceeds benefit the work of the Park. Audiences may arrive 30 minutes prior to showtime to purchase these refreshments, as they will not be available once the show begins.
